  3. Taylor had a checkup and blood work yesterday. All is fine!!!!! It's 1 year and 9 months after diagnosis for Osteosarcoma in his right front wrist. 1 year and 6 months after amputation. He's 7 years and 10 months old, my first greyhound, and with me almost 5 years He's a HAPPY BOY!!! He hops and spins and has a helicopter tail when I come home (even if just gone for 10 minutes). He runs faster in the back yard than 4 legged Face, and loves and demands his rides and walks 2-3 times a day. He has grabbed rats and possums off the top of the 6' tall privacy fence. He loves all the attention he gets from people we meet every day. You can see how stressed out he is.
  4. Happy boy..........1 year and almost 9 months after diagnosis of Osteosarcoma, and 1 year and almost 6 months after amputation. Happy, because we are going to the Greek food truck and he and Face get GYRO MEAT!!!!!
  5. I've been pleased with the Springtime products the past year and a half. Joint Health, and also Fresh Factors.
  6. Taylor had his checkup Wednesday with his oncologist. Blood work was fine. Just like last month. Chest x-rays showed that the chemo pills (Palladia) that he has been on for 3 months are working pretty good. The nodule in his lung, found 3 months ago and doubled in size after 2 months, has not grown any more. So, he will stay on the chemo pills (with no side effects), and he will go back in 1 month for blood work, and have chest x-rays in 2-3 months as long as he continues to feel as good as he does, and that's fine. It's been 20 months since he was diagnosed with bone cancer in his right front wrist, and 17 months since amputation. He runs in the back yard, and leaps and spins, and loves and demands rides and walks 2-3 times a day. He's a happy boy.
  7. I've read positive reviews about these: http://woodrowwear.com/power-paws/power-paws-greyhound-foot/
  8. I just looked around at their site......yikes.......scary.
  9. The chest x-rays were done this past Wednesday. The results are not as good as we hoped for. The 0.7 cm nodule found in his lung 8 weeks ago is now 1.5 cm, meaning it has doubled in size. The good news is that there are no new nodules. He has been on the Palladia chemo pills, 100 mg, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 8 weeks. He has no side effects (other than his nose has turned a little pink, and his oncologist said that can happen and it's only cosmetic). His blood counts have been fine. He's acting fine. He has a good appetite. His activity level is fine (or as good as can be expected with weather in the 90's the past month and a half here in Florida). The plan now is to continue the Palladia and do more x-rays in another 4 weeks. His doctor feels that Palladia many times does not show any improvement in the reduction of nodules for 6-8 weeks. Taylor is 7 years and 8 months old, and he is 89 pounds. It's been 19 months since he was diagnosed with Osteo in his right front leg. We started with radiation, Zoledronate, and Carboplatin. His leg was amputated 16 months ago. He's a happy boy. He loves and demands rides and walks 2-3 times a day. Loves meeting people and getting told what a strong boy he is. Loves the treats at all the stores. Loves the hugs people give him. He RUNS in the back yard, and leaps and spins. I want to keep him happy as long as possible. We know he has outlived the "average".
  10. He rarely flips upside-down in the back of the car.
  11. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...............................but I think he will wake up when I whisper in his ear, "You wanna go to the gyro truck??"
