  1. What do the DIRECT results mean in a fecal test? DIRECT= 4+ cocci 1+ motility DIRECT2= 1+ endospores DIRECT3= filamentous rod 3+ DIRECT4= occ rbc I got a copy of the test results emailed to me after discussing the test results with the vet's office. Now it's the weekend, and I was curious what the results mean.
  2. Both of my boys turn into bloodhounds when we are out walking. And when they find something REALLY good they start hacking/gagging/snorting.......very happy with themselves.
  3. Face (88 pounds and 6-1/2 years old) gets a half a can of no-salt cut green beans with breakfast and dinner. I had cut his food back around 20%. He also gets a half a can in the early evening, as a snack. He LOVES his green beans, while Taylor thinks I am poisoning him if I put one in front of his nose.
  4. 3 hours for chemo?? Taylor had Carboplatin, once a month for 4 months. He would have blood drawn when he arrived, and around 10 minutes later, they would have the results. Administering the chemo IV would take maybe 5 minutes. We were usually in and out of there in 30 minutes or less.
  5. Another email from the people at Olewo in Florida: Mark, All they need to do is search for Olewo in their country google.co.uk. I just did that and quickly found a listing. Yes, we have a huge following of greyhound owners, and I am glad to hear you are happy with Olewo products. Ina Schielke Olewo USA
  6. I contacted Olewo in Florida this morning, asking about a source in the UK. Their response: We don’t make the product, we are just the US Distributor – therefore Olewo USA. Olewo is made in Germany. https://www.olewousa.com/manufacturing.aspx Info about their product: https://www.olewousa.com/whyChooseOlewoCarrots.aspx
  7. Tell Tanzi to give it another couple of days........then she will be the roaching queen:
  8. I think Taylor was around 2 weeks before he started roaching again, and he does it ALL the time. A LOT more than he ever did.
  9. Thanksgiving came a day early. I am thankful that Taylor had a great 6 week checkup with his oncologist. Blood work and exam= fine. He's a happy boy. Great appetite. Loves and demands his rides and walks 2-3 times a day, and loves meeting people. Next checkup is in 6 weeks. He's a miracle dog. It is now 1 year and 10-1/2 months since diagnosis with Osteo in his right front leg, and 1 year and 7-1/2 months since amputation. He runs and leaps and spins in the back yard.
  10. I used a little table fan, aimed at Taylor, when he was "hot" after surgery, until the pain meds were reduced and then stopped, and then he was cooler.
  11. So very sorry for the loss of your sweet boy.
