    He absolutely is in pain. And look how his back legs splay outwards when he tries to sit. I'd be demanding either xrays or ultrasound. (I'm not vet, so I can't tell if it's soft tissue or neurological pain)

    I miss my 15 yr old every day. I'd put up with all the 'yuck' of an old dog any day just to have her back.

    I had been following Sara's thread in H&M and kept hoping it was just a little thing bothering her. I was saddened to hear it was hemangio (which took my first girl) I'm sorry she's gone.

    Bella Ann sounded so very very special. I'm sorry she is no longer with you especially so soon after her sister left. But at least she is reunited with her sister.

    While murmurs can be common with greys, they still can have heart disease. A cardiologist can rule that out. Pearl had heart disease diagnosed at age 5 and lived til 12, succumbing to cancer.

    Poor baby. It's nice for her to have her own private nurse in that vet tech. I hope she feels better soon.

    I'm not in favor of doing the surgery, but what if he dies of bloat later on in life when you chose not to do it? Can you handle that? I'm still upset that I didn't have that "one more ultrasound" for Pearl. We might have found her cancer and removed her spleen before it spread.

    If you can get hold of last summer's issue of CG magazine there are two articles on LP. One from the vets point of view and one from an owner's point of view. If the Greyhound Project has any issues left over they'll sell them to you.
