  1. Oh no! I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am to see this.
  2. Looks like there are quite a few places near you that carry the Answers Raw brand. I checked the website and there are also quite a few places near me. I'm going to try it. 3. I had not heard of this particular product, but just last night I was reading about Steve's Raw Goat Milk Yogurt. It's supposed to be packed with probiotics and other good stuff. Thinking about trying it, but will also check out Answers as well. Thanks for posting this.
  4. I'm so glad to hear he's home and doing better.
  5. I'm surprised you didn't steal her - she's the perfect color for your pack. I'm officially in love!
  6. Welcome Ebony & Tito! Glad you joined us.
  7. Welcome Cathie and Greyson! We're glad you're here.
  8. Although beef also has antibiotics, MaryJane is correct that most chicken is filled with them.
  9. I've had really good results with calendula ointment or gel. I've found wounds to heal faster with it than with polysporin. Calendula is an herb touted for its ability to promote tissue regeneration and therefore speed the healing process. A friend's greyhound had severe happy tail and the first vet said her tail was going to have to be amputated. Second vet used calendula ointment and saved her tail.
  10. You've gotten good advice from the others. I just wanted to say that Possum is adorable in that chair. Thank goodness you two found each other.
  11. Oh, you two have had such a rough day. I know you hated leaving him, but hopefully they'll get him medicated and get the seizures under control.
  12. Welcome Jenna & Stan! That's a face you would have to love! I'm looking forward to more pictures and to hearing all about his new life as a retiree.
  13. Congrats all around! Looks like he's taking retirement in stride. Love the name. He and Teddi are a handsome pair!
  14. When I first adopted Princess, she growled and snarked at the other dogs for getting in her space and no one could lay down near her. She was a kennel favorite and came to me with a high opinion of herself and already pretty spoiled. She got over herself.
  15. Every time I love one there is a period of time during which I always think that I just cannot bear it . It's only because I've done it so many times now that I know this will pass and I make it. It seems the excruciating grief of the new loss inevitably gives way to a grief that is more tolerable, for lack of a better word, and then it becomes more like a deep sadness and longing. I never stop missing them, but that feeling of unbearable pain always begins to subside as I grow accustomed to them living on the inside instead of on the outside. I'm sorry you're still hurting so badly. You are in my thoughts at this really difficult time.
