  1. I'm so sorry...how heartbreaking to lose her so young and so quickly.
  2. Jason the anniversaries are always tough...I just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you today and know you are an awesome greyhound dad. Give some extra scritches to Rita and John for me.
  3. We crated our first grey, Bailey for as shortest time possible. she was terrified of the world so this was her safe haven. However, the door was left open. Eventually, we started closing the door and keeping her outside the crate so she could learn her new home was a safe place. shortly she discovered a pillow in the corner was preferred so the crate was put away when she no longer went into it. Ben and Brooke were both fostered and their foster humans said they loved their crate. Ben lasted about 20 mins., Brooke would not go in it. Crates were immediately put away and it's doubtful I'll use one again unless it becomes a safety issue.
  4. I'd suggest putting a runner on the stairs. it will be challenging to help him learn stairs if he's afraid of them. You may be able to remove the runner some day if you don't like the decor, but not until he's confident on stairs.
  5. Are you wetting her kibble...our pups prefer a bit of warm water mixed in and I let it sit for a few minutes to get moist.
  6. Welocme to GT! I'm sure the perfect pup is out there waiting for a good home. Good Luck

  10. I'm so sorry to hear about Sammie...she sounds like a wonderful companion with a funny personality. thank goodness she had a wonderful life with you after her questionable beginning.
  11. Shelley, I'm so sorry Dave has left you so unexpectedly. You made your decision out of love for him, and although it's difficult not to second guess, this was out of your hands. He left you with a big hole in your heart, but also many happy memories which hopefully, when the pain begins to lessen, will bring you comfort.
  12. I am so sorry...such a young age too. How terribly sad.
