Of course, Pinky's big break was landing with you, but you guys sure have had to weather some trying health situations. She's an amazing girl to be so strong with everything that's been thrown her way. I'm glad she's in process of getting off the pred, hopefully that will put some of the weight back on. I hope you get a good combo of meds to keep her wanting to play! krissn333 Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 Pinky's mid-day meal left her still full when I got home from work this evening, so she only ate about half of her dinner at 6 tonight. I put the rest in the fridge while I had dinner with a friend. Got home a bit ago and she ate the rest, and then had some ice cream She's now snoozing away The edema in her front legs has gone down considerably and the back leg, while big (it's her hock area), is less puffy with edema. She's such a little trooper! I do know that we'll likely have good days AND bad days, I just hope the good outweigh the bad for a while... I think now that the UTI is cleared, her system is happier and the pred is now helping with the edema like it should've before. She eats the above for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is pasta with ground beef, hardboiled eggs chopped up, and cottage cheese...usually followed by two whole hard boiled eggs. She's an egg hound! When mom failed to present the eggs within an acceptable time frame today, Pinky went to the kitchen looking for them She knows the word "eggs" too!
