Hi, I am new here, and new to this beautiful breed.

We adopted our first Greyhound Emory (Springwateremory) into our home two weeks ago, he is 3. He is the sweetest dog and captured our hearts immediately. In our family we have myself (Shawna), my husband and our two daughters, and two cats.

I look forward to becoming a part of this online community and learning about the grey's. I will attempt to post a picture of Emory.

Welcome, fellow Albertan!! Emory is gorgeous - this is a great place to visit, get lots of information and above all, make friends. We moved from the Edmonton area 10.5 years ago and go home several times a year - hope to be there for Mother's Day.

Welcome from another Albertan. What a handsome boy Emory is. I placed his brother in a home up here a couple of years ago.

He had two accident/marking incidents in the house early on, but has learned very quickly not to. :) He even learned very quickly to leave the deck and go in the yard to do his business. He was in a foster home for less than a week.

No issues with stairs which I heard can sometimes be an issue.

Welcome and greetings from Ottawa and what a gorgeous boy. Originally, I wanted a big black male but ended up with a beautiful red fawn boy. He was a rehome and passed away in May, 2008. We now foster a beautiful senior (11yrs old)red fawn male. Also, my boys are corn dogs, which means they have corns on their toe pads and I have a wealth of experience of having greys with corns. My foster who was not supposed to be "small animal friendly", lives with a senior cat (she rules the house). Enjoy your wonderful family.

Thanks everyone! We are just out of Red Deer and have been added to an email listing for any greyhound events that happen so we can hopefully take part. I can't wait to go to some and have Emory get to visit some other greyhounds. :)

He's very handsome. I'm a sucker for the black ones! Another thing I like about him is that he shares a name with my late, sweet grandfather. I've always loved that name.
