Guest LindsaySF Posted October 17, 2011 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Teagan woke up this morning 3-legged. His leg was a little bit swollen, and he was very reluctant to walk on it. I gave him some Rimadyl and crossed my fingers for nothing serious. He had done yard zoomies right before bed the night before, that had to be it, no biggie..... Tonight he is still limping, and the swelling is more pronounced. I am completely freaking out. I will call the vet tomorrow when they open. Please please no osteo or anything else serious. Both times, he apparently stepped on something while doing zoomies or walkies that left a tiny pumcture on the pad. The puncture then became infected. We never knew he had stepped on something until the leg swelled. Of course, it took a couple rouns of the expensive antibiotics to clear it up. The vet to told us that she prefers to see swelling that 'jumps a joint'. Swelling from os is usually very localized.
