One of the good things, if you want to call it that, is I've read osteo tends to be less aggressive in older dogs, so you may have more time with Diamond if you do decide to go the amputation route. Believe me, I know how difficult this is to decide what to do. There are no good answers. Some only suck less than others. Hang in there. You and Diamond will be in my thoughts and prayers. Had Polli not fractured her leg at the time, we most prob would not have amputated/chemo. It's a case by case decision and you know your pup the best. Prayers that you have a lot longer than her 12th birthday.
