Last summer when Jesse died, one of my best friends lost her baby 3 days during birth. I felt really bad crying about Jesse when my friend would bring it up knowing what she went through with her child. She said to me "grief is grief, no matter who or what it is and you can't diminish it". I can understand what you're saying about feeling like you should be able to handle it better compared to other things, but you can't compare it and it's really the same.
