greymama
Oh Lord I may pee my pants. I was pretty new to greyhounds...I had Peter and Jake for about 6 weeks when I took in my first foster, Cruiser. I will NEVER forget looking down and seeing what looked like two large eyeballs on either side of his peepee (I always thought the GIRL part was the hoohoo...what the... ) So, I too felt the *olives* (and quite honestly wasn't very comfortable with the look he gave me ) MAN were they HARD?!?!? I called the vet and everything . The first girl thought I should come in and make sure he didn't have cancer (see, I wasn't the only one thinking it ) but then she gave me to someone else who told me,"Maam, I'm not really sure how to say this...your boy is a little excited right now. He's got an...erection." I think I dropped the phone and started doing a bit of at about 11 in the morning! Guest jennyheater
I missed it too....!!! ACK... I've never noticed anything but the lipstick thing on my boy hounds.. No olives, grapes or golfballs. OTOH, I'm not really paying that much attention to their naughty bits anyway.

Guest salov
Oh, i must admit as embarrassed as i am... that i wondered this when we got our boy too, but i then just assumed that this is what was going on. But i only noticed it just after he was desexed so i must admit i thought it may have been complications to that. It is silly now but oh well!!! girls are so much less complicated!! Guest Greyhoundbaby
As my vet put it, in between uproarious bouts of laughter, he's just having a good memory! That's the gland that keeps the male/female attached during the "fun". It's over 7 years since that appointment and the vet still finds it hillarious! Guest shelbygirl07
my pomeranian, louie, was so obese when we adopted him, that he was unable to clean his "peanut" so he would get infected from the urine that would stick to his little tuft of "peanut hair". I talked to my vet about it. She said it wouldn't be an issue if he lost weight. In order to keep him clean and infection free, I had to clean off his "peanut" after each time he peed with a baby wipe and trim the tuft of hair every week. I had to do this for over a year until he went from 14 to 10 pounds. He would lay there with his tongue hanging out and this dirty look in his eyes Now because of this, he is sooooooo aware it is there and now that he can reach it he never leaves the damn thing alone. He even has shelby obsessed with it. Sometimes I will walk into the room and louie will be laying on his back and this 70 pound grey has her face burried in his "no no spots". I have to say to her "heyyyyy no peanut games!!!" imagine the horror on my mother- in-law's face when she walked in on that? I laughed and apologized for that but I think she is now scarred for life.
