It's not unheard of but VWD is very uncommon in greyhounds. Many can bleed with no known cause. Trying to remember what Dr. Couto calls it. There is a study on it and all the vets who treat greyhounds should be aware.

The cost is unbelievable and I think it's going to get worse.... Used to be a kibble that was $1/lb was super good kibble. Now one wonders what is wrong with it..... Most of the "premium" kibbles are 1.60 to 2.00 a lb.

I was feeding Precise and stopped -- poor coats. I'd try something other than the foundation. I've been feeding Prairie beef & rice for over a year and all are doing well. Prairie

Same thing happened to SieSie and fortunately I was right there. Her scare happened not too long after Jodie got hers caught on the kitchen cabinet door (and I was right there fortunately). It was then I decided no more martingales in the house. I've used tag collars since. Glad he is ok.

That is what I thought of when I saw it. I have seen swelling with ringworm, however it was on a nose. $1600 for a biopsy is ridiculous. Is that from their own vet or specialist? -
I get a baseline as soon as I get them if they have not had recent blood work. Thereafter everey year. $60 is a great price assuming it is a full panel.

So far he is doing well! I had to give him a robaxin at 2 a.m. as the muscle spasms came into play. He settled down and slept the rest of the night, ate breakfast, went out. I am surprised he is pretty much leaving "it" alone

He is home and glad to be so! Drank quite a bit and ate the little I gave him. I had to come back to work and he was resting. Around 2" incision site. Took out 2 lumps/bumps which have been sent off to confirm what he believes to be cutaneous hemangiosarcoma.

He is having a believed to be hemgiosarcoma removed from the sheath of you know where. Poor guy I kept telling him he was going to the vet and that he would come home. He was very upset.... The male vet tech: I told him I had been telling Will that his hoo-hoo would be safe. The tech said: from one male to another, it will be safe!
