Our beautiful EZ made his final journey last Tuesday. He was our first greyhound - and the reason that we have since had many more in our lives. From the day we got brought him into our lives, he was the perfect dog.... He never did anything but try to please and be a loyal companion. He was my husband's hound. Until this past March, when Gerritt transferred - and the commute would have been too hard on him, EZ travelled back and forth to Upstate New York where Gerritt was stationed. They lived together as two "dudes" and adored each other. That was why when EZ started declining, I prayed he could hang on for his daddy to get home....and he fought valiantly and was successful in seeing his daddy again. On Gerritt's last day home, we had the vet come. EZ passed in our room, in his daddy's arms with his three brothers around him. We thank EZ for his beauty....both inner and outer.
