  1. Happy birthday Mark! Elebben iz hebben and you look mahvelous
  2. One more sleep. Try to get some rest and know that we are keeping you tight in our hearts and thoughts. Amelia, play that video of Willa over and over and soak up her inspiration, you've got this! (Willa, zoomdoggie o m g !!)
  3. So happy for Buster! And Merlin seems a very nice (plusalso handsome!) boy! This, I am still : he invited himself up onto our bed, smashing through the last line that Dan had drawn about dog ownership! At 3.20 this morning, we woke up to find ourselves clinging to the edges of the mattress while Sammy stretched out in the middle, looking like life could not furnish him with any greater pleasure. WTG Sammy
  4. You've already really done so much as far as diagnostics go. I would ask about trying the Doxy before embarking on the Pred route. A second opinion might be a good idea, tho. Many of us here have consulted with Dr. Couto, who is just the best with the osteo hounds but given the complexity and frustration of Golly's situation, I might reach out to him as well.
  5. Frustrating for sure. The only things that come to mind are to be sure that your boy has been tested for all the tick-borne diseases, as well as Lyme disease. Generally with Lyme once they go feverish and become lethargic, symptoms don't usually improve until they've been given a course of Doxycycline so I'm not confident that that is the right path to be looking at but worth a look. Ah, we were posting at the same time. I see that he's been tested for all the tick illnesses. Would trying a course of Doxy be considered? It can't hurt and it might help.
  6. I just discovered that in addition to $ votes, you can vote once *every day* for free Go Willa!!
  7. So much good advice from those who have been through amps, which I have not, having chosen palliative care. But I can add that if Amelia is already not using that limb, she isn’t going to miss it if you go the amp route. She’s already testing out being a tripod.
  8. Oh Monica, you've come to the right place. For the moment, take a deep breath
  9. Thank you! I love that the seniors don't even realize how beautiful they are
  10. I, too, understand. I was so very sad to give up the original BOH, a 2005 Toyota Scion xB with manual transmission that was referred to as the "Toaster" and I loved it. We kept the mechanicals going but the rust was becoming a serious worry. There were a lot of tears when we said g'bye. Your new ride is lovely and I hope it brings you and the hounds many safe and happy miles together.
  11. It *is* a tough thing to witness but good on you for recognizing that Doolin was acting on instinct. And what a good boy for Doo cooperatively giving up his "prize" ! If it helps you feel any better, shy sweet in-your-pocket Segugio did the same, with a skunk.
  12. What is the configuration of the boot? It's possible that she is physically uncomfortable within that space. If she got bounced around a bit she could certainly become anxious and unwilling to ride there. Riding in the way-back of a vehicle can cause nausea as well. Def also need to rule out any physical issues that might limit her ability to pop in as she used to.
  13. I like having the Topics listed but not the Posts. I do miss the Birthday feature. Thanks Jeff!
  14. I am shamelessly including a recent link to @ramonaghan 's beautiful Willa showing us how it's done Best healing thoughts for your sweet Charm At 13.5, she is a super senior! We will baknforf for her and hope to see those good updates. Hang in there.
  15. Big Mac Such a good boy, you are missed beyond measure. K, I am so very sorry
  16. If you didn't know, you wouldn't know that Willa was doing all those gymnastics on three pegs. She sure doesn't seem to have gotten the memo Those two are the best! You need snow more often!
  17. No. This was Kathy’s boy “Mac”. Thank you.
  18. Ducky, could you please add GT'er DesiRayMom's young man, Mac, who after bravely battling lymphoma has received his wings.
