  1. When my Aunt got a cat I was worried Lexie would go after the cat but it was the other way around. The cat was agressive and tried to attack Lexie so be careful whatever u decide
  2. safe travels..weather here has been pretty good
  3. Best wishes for Treasure. 1200??? holy moly. Dentals around here are $200 oh I forgot about the teeth removal
  4. I know the orange could be from sweet potatoes. The salmon part could cause mushiness. There is a sweet potaote venison one that natural balance makes. Lexie is on that one and she has a sensitive tummy. I am sure others will help out too.
  5. Lexie has a very sensitive tummy and is only allowed certain treats. No, u are not a bad mommy but a good one for doing what's best for them. Can they have cooked sweet potato slices for a treat? Lexie can eat those or Buddy Biscuits the sweet potato flavor agrees wit her tummy. http://www.cloudstar.com/prodcat/original-buddy-biscuits.asp
  6. (((hugs))) for merlin and u..lexie would always get worse on the metro. The tylan powder daily in both feedings always helped. None of the prescription food ever worked for Lexie. We switched to precision chiken recommended by Rocket's parents. I mix that with natural balance and venison. Hope he gets better soon.
  7. Lexie just had a corn hulled and it didn't hurt her at all. If that is what yours has..((hugs))
  8. Brushing twice a week is not effective---you really need to brush daily. Your dogs oral health is no different than yours. I actually use a SonicCare electric brush and I'm now able to floss Most dogs will tolerate an electric toothbrush if you introduce it slowly to them. The greyt thing about using an electric spin brush or the likes is it only takes a minute to brush. You just need to get into the habit of doing it daily. I use a pet toothpaste followed by some Petzlife gel. wow i am impressed! Do u really floss her teeth or are u joking? Nope- no joke! My girl gets yuk stuck between her incisors- flossing gets rid of the flavor savers! wow!! I am really impressed with you. I may try flossing with Lexie. She lets me do almost anything to her
  9. Hi all, I tried the duct tape for the last couple of days and now it looks bigger. Is it suppose to look like that? Does that mean it will come out soon? I am afraid to touch it. Should I just go to the vet and have him dremmel it or keep using the tape? It seems to be bothering her more when I walk her outside on the cement cause she is favoring her other foot. Thanks for all your suggestions.
  10. I have never tried the spray. Lexie lets me us the gel on a kids battery operated toothbrush. Brushing twice a week is not effective---you really need to brush daily. 13. thx all. I think I will try and put a small piece of duct tape on it over the holiday weekend. I don't know how too hull oor dremmel so I would have the vet to it.
  14. In the pic it looks really white but it's not. It kind of looks like a small pebble. what should my first course of treatment be to help Lexie. She sometimes slightly limps when she first gets up but she has no problem running or playing. All suggestions welcome. Home remedies would be helpful for the holiday weekend.
  15. we use precise foundation mixed with natural balance sweet potato and venison. Lexie has had diarrhea and soft stools in the past for years and these two foods seemed to be working (knock on wood). Lexie use to take tylan powder which helped trmendously in the past before this new food.
  16. Lexie won't eat grean beans,,maybe bella got desperate
  17. I noticed recently that Lexie has this pimple on her neck. It looks to me like it is just a getting older thing (what do i know) and I am really not concerned about the actual pimple but it is right against her collar when we walk her. It doesn't seem to bother her but I was wondering if maybe I should put something on the pimple like vaseline so it won't rub so much? Or is there something else I can do? Thx all
  18. I don't know about clams but lexie loves salmon and it is good for her coat. She only gets small pieces or else she gets loose stools. she has a sensitive tummy
  19. our basement is cement so Lexie runs around, plays catch, etc down there. If there is a good packed snow on the ground, she likes to run around outside
