  1. I don't know what to feed her for a week til the other food comes in. You can only get it on line. She has a very sensitive tummy..Any ideas for a week. She can't even eat rice or chicken
  2. http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/ This is so upsetting. We mix Lexie's food with Precise so I will have to throw it all out.
  3. so sorry for the loss of Prince. (((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))
  4. Sure looks like a corn to me too. I would be careful about cutting into it to explore. My vet said that could damage the nerves in their paws. Lexie had to go back twice already cause her corn grew back. The first time it felt and looked like a hard pebble. The second time it wasn't that noticable.
  5. I understand about disappointing the residents. If I miss one week (been going three years) I never hear the end of it Maybe cut back to twice a month and 30-40 minutes, then to once a month. Lexie has always been shy so I know sometimes she doesn't like going. We still go because it really has helped socialize her. Each dog is different. Lexie is the opposite and won't let the nurses pet her. She probably figures she is suppose to be there for the residents so why should the nurses and staff pet her
  6. I agree with leashing her up and give the treat after she goes potty. We have to leash Lexie up for the last out..sometimes the second to last out too
  7. I noticed the big basket of stuffies in the background
  8. ((((((((((((((((((pat))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) so sorry on your loss
  9. You have to be extremely careful with little dogs, especially white ones. Don't forget your grey is still getting use to you and the environment. From what u say, it sounds like he has a very high prey drive. I wouldn't even have him go up to any little dogs right now. He probably doesn't even know they are dogs.
  10. We need a pic of the rocking chair
  11. Lexie won't eat raw carrots so I roast them She loves them that way..maybe try that. You probably could even grill them. I also agree with others about just cutting back a lil more with the kibble. Milkbones are definite no no. Good Luck
  12. please add rschultz (Cleveland, Ohio)
  13. (((hugs)))) So sorry for your situation. Can you try cooked sweet potatos mixed in with diluted chicken broth/water? I hope others have suggestions to help you out. Take care
  14. Can he tolerate a probiotic chew? That may help the bad bacteria in his gut. Have u ever tried Nature's Balance sweet potato and venison? (((hugs)) to you. I know how frustrating it is too find the right combo of food and meds.
  15. Your dogs won't forget you and they can't tell time frames between 2 weeks vs 4 weeks. They will enjoy themselves and so will you. It is always hard on us humans that is our nature. Tyr not to let it overwhelm you.
  16. What about the local police or fire? I know in our city they would do that.
  17. We are dealing with this now. The vet hulled it once then we were applying the murray cream. It came back about 6 weeks later..vet hulled again. I keep putting the cream on but we shall see. The vet said they return often but he has found that the cream can keep it at bay for a longer period of time. I have tried the duct tape which did seem to bring it closer to the surface and easier to hull.
  18. Wow...7..that means lexie will be an old lady this year. I think I will wait and call her a senior at 9
  19. You can also try to teach the "eye or watch me" command" Two weeks is a short time. Keep practicing and repetition is always helpful too.
  20. I clip and file Lexie's nails. They make special thick metal files at the pet stores. They work well after u clip them. They don't make a grinding noise either.
