  3. They fill our hearts with love and leave before we're ready to say goodbye, but the love they leave behind when they go grows and multiplies to include others.
  4. I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Melissa, they're never here as long as we want them to be. Hugs to both of you and Kendra, who I'm sure will miss her traveling buddy.
  5. That is such great news! I hope Lexi continues to improve on a daily basis.
  6. They're never with us for as long as we want them to be but they bring love and joy to all they meet. Suzy was indeed a gift in your lives and will remain so in your hearts forever. I'm so sorry for your loss.

  8. What a beautiful addition to the family! Welcome Miss Rose.
  9. Geeesh, I thougt our So Calif prices were high! I just had both hounds done to take advantage of a 20% off in August offer. Gracies bill was $399, but included: Senior wellness exam consult, Senior Blood Screening/ UA ($ 104.95), fecal filtration test, Torbusic inj ( for pain), Amoxicillan x 10 days and her rabies shot. The dental part of that including anesthetic & floride was $206. Carl's bill was a tad more because he had a thyroid free T4 test in the blood work.
  10. Welcome home MoMo! She is sooo pretty, can't wait to watch her grow up.
  11. Just seeing this and sending prayers anyway for continued improvement. Hugs to you Amber and of course to Soul.
  12. Sue, I'm so sorry. I was thinking of Bessie while I was out and about today and was stunned and saddened when I saw the thread in H&M. I'm so glad that you were able to be with her, she wasn't alone and knows how much you loved her. Charla
  13. Thinking of you and hoping for good news soon.
  14. Our thoughts are with you and Bessie for a normal temperature and uneventful recovery from her amputated toe. Hugs to both of you!
  15. Gracie is a quivering, shivering, panting mess on the 4th without Melatonin. I give 3 mg starting a few days before the 4th to cover the random pops and booms. On the day itself I give 3 mg, then another 3 mg about 2 hours later and the final 3 after sunset. She stays in the bedroom with a fan a music on, but is MUCH calmer and more comfortable. We normally don't have thunderstorms but the weatherman predicted one earlier this year so I gave Gracie 6 mg: she curled up and slept thru it.
  16. Enjoy every good day, you'll know when he's ready.
  17. I have had a huge one in a basket by the patio door for maybe 15 years, Carl sleeps under it. Neither dog nor the cat I had years ago have ever botherd it. BTW, if it droops all over the place, looks like it fainted and died ... water it and it will bounce right back up.
  18. How wonderful! I bet he really enjoys the roaming privilege to the fullest extent. How do you keep that lovely grass?
  19. Claudia, I'm so sorry. They never stay with us as long as we want them to, but she is as close as all your memories and in your heart. Charla
  20. Claudia, I know how hard it is to make that decision and I know it's made out of love for your beautiful girl. I'll be holding both you and Misty in my thoughts.
  21. Oh I'm so glad that it all went well; now for a nice fast uneventful recovery!
  22. Jeannie , we'll be thinking good healing thoughts for for your big cuddle bug. I know it's scary but he WILL pull through and be back to the Big Vinny we all know and love.
  23. Jennifer I'm so sorry; Presley and Daisy seem like part of my family and "Miss Parsley" will be missed. Charla, Gracie Rose and Carl
  24. That looks good and I bet she's very happy to be home with her family. Sending good thoughts and hugs.
