  1. Just checking in; if you think tripe might entice her to eat I can bring you some ... I'm not that far away and the car does have air conditioning!
  2. I was thinking of Amy and Misty today hoping they were both doing better, then I saw Amy's name in Remembrance! I wish I could offer more than just words to help you cope ... to loose such a sweet girl and Turbo so close together. Hugs to you and your family, Charla
  3. I have been thinking of you and Misty off and on all day ... finally had time to get to the computer. Oh my, when it rains it pours doesn't it! She has been hit with a triple whammy of appetite depressants; infection, low thyroid and heat! Wish I could say or do something other than than say I'll be sending good healing thoughts your way.
  4. She was quite a lady and did it her way until the end.
  5. Oh my gosh! You and Amy will be in my thoughts and prayers, hope is something as simple and easily treatable. Charla
  6. You will be in my thoughts today, I know she's surrounded by love. Charla
  7. Claudia, Fish oil and vitamins E, & C are natural blood thinners. I think Q10 is too, so watch out for bruising easily and bleeding with just the slightest scrape. I have problems with them myself ... Misty probably isn't getting too much in the way of aspirin, garlic, onions and ginger, which are also blood thinners. Charla

  10. I'm so sorry; they're never with us long enough are they?
  11. Gracie Rose does that, and with her it's allergies. I tried Benadryl which didn't really help too much; the vet prescribed hydroxyzine, AKA, Attarax which works wonders.
  12. OK, dumb question . What is HGE? OK, looked it up ... wow, I feel for the poor guy, I have liveed through Gasterointeritis myself and have helped care for human patients with the hemorrhagic kind. Sorry I can't be of any help.
  13. I'm so sorry for your loss, they always leave us too soon don't they?
  14. Fantastic! Now when are you planning on getting your second hound? Just like chips , you can't have just one

  17. Looks like she would like nothing better than to lick that leg!
  18. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad it wasn't a break although it probably feels just as bad to poor Frosty. I hope she heals quickly and and doesn't hurt too much. Charla, Carl and Gracie Rose
  19. Linda, that was beautiful. We miss Otis and his stories. Charla, Carl and Gracie Rose
  20. I've been meaning to donate for a long time and finally did last night. I have learned , laughed and cried on this forum. You guys are the best.
  21. Palm Springs is in Riverside County and I don't think the Humane Society does much more than a low cost shots, spay and nuter clinic. A lot of vets accept Care Credit; basically a credit card for vet services ... and non insurance covered dental problems, plastic surgery etc. If he doesn't accept payments he may take Care Credit or another vet in the area might. I'm about 60 miles away and almost every vet in this area accepts it and has the applications in their office or you can apply online.
  22. Oh no! Hilda, this must be so hard for you right now. You and Snowy will be in my prayers.
  23. Hi, welcome from Californya Carl and Gracie Rose
