There's lots of info available and lots of books to read. I recomend reading books by Patrica O'Connell, Dr Sylvia Yin who focused on postive reinforcement,and learning about NILF (nothing in life is free). I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our 9 year old Brooke quite unexpectantly as well (she died on her pillow when we were at work) and the shock and pain were overwhelming. My thoughts are with you as you try to process this.

Losing 2 within 7 months has been the hardest part of my life so far. I pray my pups don't make it on the 2017 list. Never take a moment with them for granted, life with them is so precious, but far too short.
