Only Cal was incorrigible--I ended up with 3 baby gates on the stairs and upstairs kitties--and even she was okay before she left us. LBass Posted April 1, 2023 Share Posted April 1, 2023 I love that Starbuck and Kara were BFFs. All of my hounds have been safe with the cats but we've had no inter-species BFFs here. Kitty Miles SO wanted to snuggle with the dogs. Piper, ever the gentleman, tolerated Miles, but gazed woefully at me whenever that cat was toughing him. MoMo loved Miles but only as a tiny Pez dispenser--Miles had serious GI issues and vomited often. Mo would stand in front Miles eagerly waiting for him to give her a snack. Current hound Nate is fascinated with sniffing cat butts. The cats not so much. Quote Lucy with Greyhound Nate and OSH Tinker. Starbuck had the middle bedroom to herself when she first came here. Kara was curious and would accompany me on every visit. Over time they bonded.
