our Ripley was diagnosed with osteo in his toe this morning - lungs are clear - toe amp scheduled for Friday if blood work is clean - will know tomorrow. He needs lots of prayers - he is 12.5 - been with us since he came off the track at 4.5 - he's a big sensative boy - so he won't take the recovery well. But at least we can amp a toe - a leg would not be an option.

Osteosarcoma in the toe is unlikely, although possible. Was the diagnosis made based on x-rays or aspirate? It should definitely be sent off for biopsy to confirm. Sending lots of good thoughts that all goes smoothly with surgery, and also keeping fingers crossed that it's not cancer.

Good thoughts for Ripley. I hope the surgery goes well.

Sorry to hear your scary diagnosis but glad it is a toe and not more. Best wishes for an easy surgery and quick recovery.
