The last one was yesterday at 10am and they started the midazolam drip. They started to wean the drip at 3pm yesterday and stopped it at 3am this morning. Still no seizures. Now he has to be seizure free for at least 12 hrs before I can bring him home. Thank you for all the good thoughts for him. Fruitycake Posted September 28, 2012 Share Posted September 28, 2012 Our Monty had cluster seizures (5 or 6 in 24 hours, getting progressively closer together), and our doc put him on phenobarb and luckily that has him controlled (almost 5 years seizure free now!). You may find he sleeps a bit more, maybe stumbles around a bit and is basically a bit off but this should all stop the longer he is on the added drugs. The hardest part is to watch them go through it but be patient, his body will adjust. He may be whining because he's going to be a little more hungry. A small snack every few hours will help and he may drink more.
