christinepi
I've been wondering--I've never seen a brown greyhound before--do they exist? I don't mean brindle or fawn, but monochromatic brown, like chocolate labs or Podencos. Anyone have photos?
Brindles
Yes - they exist, but are rare. The color is called "dun." gazehund
Cheryl12 recently lost her brown boy Elvis. She might see this and post a photo.
dmdsmoxie
Like Rachel said they exist, but are rare especially here in the U.S. To be dun you must have a brown nose and brown pads. Here is an example. Here is another. Dick

Hubcitypam
That looks totally different than Elvis (Cheryl's boy) or the dun dogs above. What is the color listed on his bertillion? Actually, Cheryl's boy was a red, but Elvis was the modst beautiful dog. Edited August 26, 2012 by Hubcitypam

Nichole
Someone had three littermate puppies at GIG a few years ago. One was blind or blind in one eye or something like that. I think they were up for adoption. I saw one of them in Dewey after that. I know someone that has one in Lessburg VA. She's beautiful! If anyone hears about an available one let me know!!! OMG so Adorable. This made me L.O.L. b/c I'm pretty sure any available duns would be snapped up by a volunteer long before they ever made it to an "available for adoption" page. It used to be that way with blues..not sure if they're becoming more common or less desirable but I'm seeing more and more. I agree they are adorable! No, I was curious so I looked, I never really paid any attention to the color of her pads.. She is listed as a red brindle.
