6greyhounds
I still miss him and wondered if I did the right thing and then someone quoted me this "It is best to let them go 3 days early not 3 days late" That is why we had the discussion, what if he seized in the car while I was driving home on the Interstate at 4 am. brandimom
Beryl, I try and live by that saying "better one day too soon than one day too late". I know we always second guess ourselves so much. luvhounds2
What a beautiful tribute. I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye; but he sounds like he was ready. He had quite a rough time of it before he found you, didn't he? And such a handsome fellow, too! Godspeed, sweet boy. 6greyhounds
I have had the support of so many people who has told me I was being humane by letting him go live with his Dad. It still hurts like the devil especially when someone does something very caring for me and EZ. Like the person who thought enough to make him the featured loved hound, a donation in his memory, the one that sent me the beautiful bell with his name on it, to another person who sent me a beautiful frame with the picture of an angel kissing a greyhound, and of course the saying that all greyhounds are kissed by angels and with EZ's name (both pet and racing name) with the dates of his events and yesterday a donation from someone I sell book panels to in his name to FFGR where he was adopted from. People have even taken time out of their busy schedule and sent cards - I thank all of you too All of this gifts are very thoughtful and I love each and everyone of them. Thank you all for your kindness Quote It is better to have loved and lostThan never to have loved at allMissing my Big Blue eyed Bear

6greyhounds
I wish that something else could be done for this problem - EZ was on so much medication I could not see him taking anymore - He took 2 grains phenobarbital in the am along with his thyroid med, then his KBR in his breakfast and then again at 7 pm more phenobarbital and thyroid meds. In his food he had to have tylan capsules and his coming out of a seizure was longer and longer with each one - getting back to normal was also getting longer. I still miss him and I know he is now seizure free probably laying in the carrot patch they have provided for him Quote It is better to have loved and lostThan never to have loved at allMissing my Big Blue eyed Bear
