Guest twoskinnydogs Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Emma came to me 2 weeks shy of her 2nd birthday. 10 years later I have had to say goodbye. The sadness is almost overwhelming as I am sitting here writing this. Emma has seen me through a lot in my life, always there for me with unconditional love. She was my first greyhound, a sleek, lean running machine at 2 years old. She filled my heart with joy and was rewarded with an excellent life in our house. It's becasue of her that I grew to love this breed and have devoted so much of my time and love towards these wonderful greys! It's because of her I met numerous new friends all over the world who share one thing in common, the love of the GREYHOUND! In December of 2011 that all changed, I found out Emma had Osteosarcoma in her proximal humerus. I decided to keep her comfortable with pain meds and up to yesterday they seemed to be working fairly decent. I decided that after 10 years of her showing me what a dog should be I could not let her suffer in pain any longer. Today my sweet Emma Doo went to the bridge to be with her brother Shaft and the numerous other greys we have meet over the years. Emma you will never be forgotten, see you soon my love!
