Hubcitypam Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) Maybe 5 years ago a tiny greyhound (?) /whippet (?)/ mix (?) ended up in the Lubbock pound. We could never decide exactly what she was so I dubbed her a "grippet". Either the pound or Linda at APFUG named her Lucy and she charmed everyone there (the picture is of her in the AC officers chair). I called my best friend Teri in IL and said "I have your dog" and sure enough I did. Lucy came here and stayed with me for a month before Teri could fly down from Chicago to get her. Going from the Lubbock pound to Chicago was sort of a fairy tale story in itself and she lived it well. She also made many trips to Knox College in Galesburg where she charmed the girls in her human sisters dorms. She was renamed Bella but part of me wanted to hang on to Lucy and to me she was always Bellalucia. Bella went to the bridge yesterday while in Indiana with her extended family at her side. Teri, I am so sorry. Bella, I am so glad to have helped get you to your Mom and Tara.
