ICU Gale is my Glenda's littermate that I had the pleasure to meet while on vacation in Florida at the farm she called home. Gale's owner, Deneen, called me this morning to let me know Gale was sent to the Bridge due to a tumor in her throat. I know Deneen and her family loved Gale very much as did I. I am very sad to hear the news of Gale. She was a Brood mommy that had precious pups that are some still racing... Jenn I know in your heart you wanted to take her home but it was not the right time as her owner had expected for her to get well and she was too have more puppies so this comes as a big Surprise.... Jenn I am very Sorry that she never had the chance to join her sister and mom and I know this is very hard on you.... Please know you will see her again and that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank You to to her owner for giving her all the Special love and for giving her the special attention you do all your farm greyhounds. Gangster found a home through Shamrock with Anne (who is a GT member). Greta won a puppy stakes race, and whelped a couple of litters, too, and then got adopted out by the breeder but I lost track of her. They were very aggressive on the track, and the first to join in an argument with other dogs, but they are awesome characters, as I am sure is the case with the other littermates. I do however see that Glenda is a "quietly" in control around here! I am so sorry to see Gale go to the bridge at only nine years old.
