Guest alannamac Posted August 13, 2011 Share Posted August 13, 2011 We've lost our beautiful Bandit to laryngeal paralysis (LP). I wanted to thank you all at Greytalk for your help and advice over the years. Bandit had a good long life and we are so grateful to have had him with us. He came into our home in July of 2002 from GreytExpectations adoption in VA and forever changed our lives with his elegant gentle goofyness. In April of this year he was diagnosed with advanced LP and after much deliberation, we chose to do palliative care due to his advanced age and terror of the vet's office. He had over 3 blissfull months of steak dinners, pot roasts and salmon and abundant love and care before we had to say goodbye. His breathing had become too labored, and he began to have breathing attacks.... and we made the difficult choice to help him to the bridge. Our hearts are broken but we know he is pain free and had a joyous long life full of love. Dear Nanners.....I miss you so............forever our couch potato and always by my side for walkies........always watching out the window waiting for me to come home..........
