Not knowing Kathy except from these posts, she does certainly sound like an angel and I am sure she is running in those golden fields along with all the pups who have passed. There will certainly be a 'group roo' for her. Guest aptaks Posted July 31, 2011 Share Posted July 31, 2011 Thanks, Nancy, for posting these wonderful memories here. Kathy was truly one of a kind and, yes, "an amazing gal". She was a very special member of my "Dewey Beach Family" and a long-time friend through the old AOL Greyhound board. Like Ado Annie in "Oklahoma", Kathy was a gal who couldn't say "no" -- if someone needed help, if a special needs, senior, or bounce needed a home, if a donation was needed for a special project involving greys or their people -- Kathy was there with help or a home for that dog. She was also, as my Mom called her "a fun time gal" who loved a good laugh and who loved to be at Dewey Beach surrounded by beautiful needle-nosed hounds and their people. The world will be a little colder without her in it, but I think that her legacy will be alive each time one of us follows her example and adopts or helps a special Greyhound (or any dog, for that matter). I will miss our dear SMRTAS.
