More X-Rays For Peanut Tomorrow . . .

Here we are a month after Peanut's first x-rays and she is still limping :( . The first set of x-rays we had done 4 weeks ago were clean and this was confirmed by Dr. Couto. Now we need to do the dreaded second set to make sure that this truly is not osteo and that it just didn't show on the initial x-rays. I am a nervous wreck. Our regular vet is hoping this is just a soft tissue injury. Our holistic vet (who is also a DVM and has greys of his own) feels that this could be a pulled bicep tendon. Pete and I feel that if these x-rays come back clean that we'll still head down to OSU to have the ortho team look at her so that we can get a more definitive diagnosis. To add to the worry, my dad is back in the hospital-he's been battling cancer and I am so very worried about him too. Any good thoughts, prayers, white light, healing thoughts, etc. that GTers could spare would be so appreciated. We could really, really use good news in our house.

I was afraid to add this to my initial post b/c I'm not sure if I want to hear what people think this may be, but here goes . . . Peanut's toe on another leg is now swollen. I am praying it's coincidence and not related, but it just seems like poor timing. She's limping on her front right leg and has a swollen toe on her back left leg. Of course it brings me back to Smiley who first had the infected toe leading to amputation and then followed months later by osteo. I just keep hearing what my vet said about Smiley's toe prior to the biopsy and the numerous cancers it could be. This COULD be completely unrelated, right??? Please???
