Guest dwolfe711 Posted November 12, 2009 Share Posted November 12, 2009 It is with great sadness that I tell you that our sweet little lady Allie (aka Allison) has gone to the Bridge. She slipped away in her sleep about 4am Monday morning. Her beloved Daddy was by her side - she was such a Daddy's girl. She came to us as a foster return two weeks before her 11th birthday - we never could have imagined then that she would bless our lives for over four years! She had been going downhill slowly for several months - we knew we were on borrowed time - when she went she went quickly but in spite of her age it was still a shock. She is running free now at the Bridge unburdened of the old age which slowed down her body when her spirit still wanted to go. Duncan and Lizzy and all the others were there to herald her arrival and she is now ruling the roost in a better place. Sweet Allison, the house is quiet in your absence. We miss your impatience and excitement at meal times. Ripley and Ellie and Apollo are looking for you - and Mommy and Daddy are missing you terribly. Run free sweetie like you did before old age took away your body's ability to enjoy life to the fullest! You are young again and enjoying every minute of it, I'm sure!
