RobinM
How is she doing this evening? Has she been a fan of the N Y? Oh yeh, if it hadn't been for the NY and the ice cream, she would have stopped eating long ago. The NY worked for this am and again this afternoon. May not tomorrow but one day at a time as you well know. Hugs to Polli DA*M! I have a HUGE VAT of NY that no one will touch. It's so weird how some love it and some will turn their noses up to it. CaliforniaGreys
Checking in! Robin, maybe you can find someone here who wants it? Or, heck, eat it yourself! MMmmmMMM! This may not be appropriate, but then I've never been known to be so..........I got an email from Marilyn(GreyHaven) She has an elderly adopter with a dog who has Cushings and will not eat. I suggested the NY and offered to send it if she couldn't find it there. Haven't heard back but if anyone has the NY and can't use it, you may want to email Marilyn. Guest Vinnie
So glad to hear that your sweet girl is eating. Hope she gets her energy level back quickly and then you can color your hair and have a pampered day together. Hugs and scritches. Ohh, and maybe a face mask from Home Depot or something to help you breathe as you fix her food?

CaliforniaGreys
How's our little girl this morning? Thank you for thinking about Misty, we had a few good days but she wouldn't eat this am. Maybe later. this seems to be a trend, she'll eat for a few days, then not, she's sending hugs to the Flashman Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless
Xan
When she's less inclined to eat, is it usually in the morning? That seems to be fairly common. I wonder if we shouldn't stress so much about morning feedings, and just work on it later in the day? Just a thought. It seems like I read that a lot: wouldn't it her/his breakfast, but ate something later. My Happy does that, too, when she's on hunger strike. Hugs to you both! Guest Pipi5
You know Xan, you've got a point there...I notice when mine aren't feeling all that good, they don't want anything in the morning, kind of like a morning sickness. If I'm at home with them, then I'd give them a little snack through out the day. Dear always preferred dog treats (milkbones) rather than his regular food. Xan does have a point, for Misty it's usually in the mornings. Feeding later on is only a problem on Mondays when she needs to take the Lysodren Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless

Blaidd49
Our friends have noticed the same with their boy (non-grey) with kidney disease. He will go for a few days doing quite well then won't want to eat until later in the morning and prefers something dry - almost as though anything "smelly" turns him off. Is there any pattern to her eating that ties in with either the days she gets the Lysodren or the prednisone? Pam How's our little girl this morning?
