packmom Posted July 1, 2008 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Well, Angel's saga continues. Over the weekend she developed an on/off limping. She had an appointment at OSU for a dental consult today so I thought I'd ask them to check it out. Last night she developed severe bruising on the leg and into her groin area. So off we went to the emergency clinic there. She stayed in ICU all night for testing and observation. Dr Mari called this morning to say she is doing well. Blood work, coagulation, X-rays show nothing suspicous. She is getting an MRI this morning and being transfered to Dr. Couto's staff in Hematology/Oncology. Geez, I was just there yesterday talking to him and hearing all about Scooby I never thought I'd be bringing him a patient. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She has 2 small tumors in the leg muscel of her thigh. Dr. C knows of only 11 dogs who have had them there. He is sure they are hemangiosarcoma. Angel, my little Gellybean, is getting her first of many chemo treatments right now (if her EKG was ok). We are looking at 3 months of aggressive chemo. Dr. Couto is helping us with our girl Bonnie and her chemo protocol for lymphoma. It's been tough, but we'd do it again if we had to. Good luck. Let us know how the chemo goes for her.
