  1. Yes, I know others who take their greyhounds there. Have you settled on a certain town?
  2. they way she would woof at me if I made them wait too long for supper: how she was ALWAYS the closest to hand for petting: How damn happy she looked before the finally walk into the vets: My sweetie, I still miss you so much. My only snuggly lap dog. I have a new recliner sweetie and the others don't come up to share with me like you did.
  3. A log/Diary is a good idea. Write down everything he had to eat that day while you can still remember. Food can be triggers. A definite trigger for Red is shrimp, even other foods cooked in the same oil, licking the plate. He had seizures three nights in a row after having french fries cooked in the same fry oil. Seizures the same night dad cooked some shrimp. He takes Phenobarb twice a day every day. Diazepam after having one to break any cycle that might develop. The Ice Pack does shorten the actual seizure, but not the post-ictal phase. Any high cal food will bring their Blood Sugar levels back up, we use mashed potatoes and gravy. Scary thing to witness and you feel so Helpless while they are locked into their seizure.
  4. shirts arrived, thank you they look great
  5. When looking up for interactions to Phenobarb and nothing shows try looking up Belladonna. Phenobarb has been a generic drug so long and is so cheap no company will pay to have the name listed. ets - can't spell
  6. so handsome. Sorry for your loss
  7. Godspeed sweetie, he was a handsome boy. ETA: Thank you Lynn, card will be posted tonight.
  8. Welcome from the Molly is a beautiful dog. What was her racing name?
  9. Pull them. She will heal quickly with the bad gone and be a happier dog. Actually even check to see if that is not aggressive enough. Why do it all again in six months. ETA: Sprite had terrible teeth and repeated infections over many years. Finally at 10 she had all but one upper canine and one next to it to the fronat and one molar. She was a much happer dog once she healed up and the pain, infection and just all around badness in her mouth was gone. She made it to 14 with no other mouth problems.
  10. Another Hello and Welcome from East Bridgewater, ma.

  14. Tell me I am not the only trekkie who immediately thought "Kobayashi Maru" <<The name is Japanese, and loosely translates as the ship named Kobayashi, with Kobayashi (小林) meaning small forest and being a common family name. Maru (丸) is a common suffix for Japanese ship names. from Wikipedia>>
  15. poor Ned, extra hugs for the boy. On a side note we had an intern this summer and his name was Nate, I occasionally called him Ned cause he was a cutie, lol.
  16. Sprite, October 2005 had a lump on her back, surgeons removed it, here is a not so great picture of it: Day after surgery: vets report- Diagnosis: 1. Soft tissue Sarcoma, Myxosarcoma, moderate to well-differentiated. Grade 1 2. Organizing Hematoma with exuberant Granulation tissue formation. Comments: 1. Excision of the mass appears complete. Local recurrence is NOT anticipated. The narrowest surgical margin is the deep margin, where there is approximately 5 mm of tissue free of neoplasia, based on microscopic sections examined. There is low potential for regional/systemic metastatic spread. Metastasis, when it occurs, is typically regional to the lymph nodes and less commonly to lungs and other body systems. --- Day before stitch removal, while waiting at the vets office she was schmoozed upon by a couple of state troopers, and Kerri (momof sweetpotatoes) and Maria(RooRoo): Five weeks post surgery: It never reoccurred in that area. She did develop a similar form of cancer on her elbow. But she was with us until February 29, 2008. She was 14 years and almost 4 months.
  17. <<<I miss kissing her back whenever I picked her up or set her down from the six daily trips up and down the stairs - my weight bearing exercise. >>> <<<I miss watching her breathe and knowing she's there.>> So sorry for your loss I too have been there and still cry for my Sprite, I'd still be carring her if she had wanted to continue on.
  18. He looks good. They cleaned him up well. Keep an eye on that drug patch though, I'm assuming it's Fentanyl.
