  1. I'm SO sorry! Such a beautiful girl, I'm sure she is being spoiled by the angels.
  2. When my bridge girl Gypsy was young she would skip a meals and I wouldn't worry. She was almost 12 when we lost Clark and lost a lot of weight due to grief (they were very close). So I "babied" her. All sorts of add ins to get her to eat. I would even choose items that would be good "doggie leftovers" when we went out to eat. She loved chicken alfredo! You know your pups and you do what you have to keep them going. Was she spoiled, yes but she was healthy and with us for another year and a half (passed peacefully in her sleep). I have another diva now, and Sky skips meals, when she gets older I'll probably "babie" her too.
  3. NutriSource chicken, no grain kibble. Wellness no grain canned. My bridge girl Gypsy had issues with grains. No grains worked well for the others so we stuck with it.
  4. Glad to hear Brynna has been seen. They seem to heal faster from a toe amp than from a broken toe. I'm sure she will be back to walks and runs quickly.
  5. Burt's Bees has a bug spray that is safe and smells like lemon grass.
  6. Did you check with your adoption group? They should be able to recommend a Vet. Is she a Heart Bound dog? I think I remember a Brynna.
  7. I'm so sorry. Murphy is so lucky to have found a home where he will get all the love and affection he deserves. I'm sure you will spoil him as much as you can. Be sure to take lots of photos, I'm so glad I had lots of all my angels.
  8. So glad your pup is OK! I checked my fiber gummies and thankfully the brand we use has no xylitol in the fiber gummies. I never thought to worry about them.
  9. I use Revolution on Sneakers. I asked my vet if I should switch to something else. He sais unless it was causing him problems he felt it was best to keep him on what his body was accustomed to. The less changes the better. Sneakers seizures are infrequent and we aren't medicating him at this time.
  10. I'm so sorry. Your making the right decision, but it is still so painful.
  11. Try some Quick Sort or Tacky Fingers you can get it at most office supply places like Staples or Office Max. Rub some on her pads. It will help with her traction. I use to keep some in the car for my bridge pup Clark, he hated the floors at Petco and it helped him. I think they make something similar for dogs but the stuff at the office supply stores was cheaper.
  12. We don't have a dishwasher so I use a toothbrush to clean inside the Kong. Love the idea of using pumpkin! Also cream cheese. A nice change up from peanut butter. I use broken cookies kibble and the Snaw Some twisted dog treats.
  13. My bridge angel Gypsy had a growth removed from her upper eyelid when she was 12. No problem for her, she was much happier after it was removed.
  14. Welcome from Wisconsin. Although I do co-own a home in Virginia Beach with my brothers.
  15. Ground raw chicken also works well. It sticks together better than beef. Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, liverwurst, sardines and canned cat food. I have tried lots of treats, my bridge boy Clark was fussy and hard to pill. Variety and switching often helps.
  16. Sneakers loves nectarines, he also likes blueberries. Sky will eat nectarines but she isn't as crazy for them.
  17. Hello from Oshkosh! lots of good info here, and plenty of fun greyhound stuff as well.
  18. Our Sky has days when she refuses breakfast. Sometimes 3 days in a row. We offer it everyday, if she doesn't eat we don't worry. We don't adjust her supper amount. She will decide when she wants breakfast again. She is healthy and at a good weight, she just isn't hungry some mornings. Sneakers has days where he will only eat part of his breakfast. Guess some dogs are self regulating on their weight.
