  1. Sounds like a seizure. I keep a chart for Sneakers, date, time, duration and description of seizure. Also jam or honey will work for something sweet.
  2. Could you put a tarp cover over the dog run? Maybe that would prevent any food getting to them.

  5. My bridge girl Gypsy was very fussy her last year. At one point she would only eat if she got warm chicken alfredo over her kibble. At other times it was freshly grated parmesan cheese (forget the canned, it wasn't good enough). Then it was beef gravy and it better have chunks of beef. Then canned tuna. She cycled between these, sometimes all she would eat was ice cream. She did like vanilla Ensure, I got the high calorie one for her. We could usually get her to drink that if nothing else was appealing to her. We catered to her and called her our Little Diva.
  6. You can also use the Grooming wipes. They are less harsh than weekly baths but will reduce the dander.
  7. I'm so sorry for your loss!! He was a beautiful boy.
  8. Not on a greyhound, but on a cat. Neko did really well on it, only side effect was thinning of the fur on his ears. He had over three additional years on it.
  9. Sneakers loves Jello also, especially cherry! As long as it isn't the sugar free kind there is no reason they can't have some. I make up a batch and put it into small single serving containers. I usually add some fruit. when I share it with Sneakers I usually leave some fruit also, he loves peaches. Sky and Dood like jello also, but not as much as Sneakers.
  10. We do boots when the temps drop below zero. They are ok for quick pee trips until it hits -5 then they need boots. We have had a lot of those this winter. With three that's a pain but there is no way I can carry a 80lb hound.
  11. If he is going to his bed to get him that could be part of the problem. He needs to try to get Ernie to come to him. Try very yummy treats ( chicken or hot dogs), no leash a few days. Then with leash in hand, but don't try to put it on. Then yummy treats and put on leash.

  13. Thank you, my Dreamy is on the list. It's hard to believe that a year has almost gone by since I lost her. She would have been 10 this month.
  14. Sneakers seizures have become too frequent. He has started having them weekly. Poor boy had two seizures on Saturday and fell down the back steps when the first one started. Dr. Jeff has us starting Phenobarbital today, hopefully this will help.
  15. My pups are all crated when we leave. Sneakers is my seizure pup. If he didn't have them I wouldn't crate him. I'm afraid he would have a seizure and fall off the couch and injure himself. Sneakers isn't medicated. His seizures are infrequent he can have one a month or skip a month or two. Most of his seizures are very mild. Occasionally he will have one where he loses bladder and bowel control.
  16. Another thing I didn't notice mentioned is if he is bending over Ernie to pet him on the bed. He may feel threatened and trapped if your husband is bending over him. Being this new calling him to come and be petted is best, especially if a treat is also offered.
  17. Dood is a kisser and a licker, gives love to everyone. Sneaker is an occasional kisser, DH and I only. Sky isn't a kisser.
  18. Hope Comanche just has a UTI. Let us know what it turns out to be.
  19. Maybe try wetting his food, or mixing in some canned. That way you could eliminate dust from the food.
