  1. :f_pink I am so sorry! Your tribute was so lovely.
  2. Welcome from Stafford Co! The forgotten part of NOVA.
  3. Any suggestions on bringing down hind leg swelling? Cool compresses, Hot compresses? It is swelling, not the tumor. Thanks for any advice.
  4. Just remember to feed the poor little thing every now and then. When are you going to make the switch from kibble?
  5. Look forward to meeting her soon, and I know she will be a joy to host at Greyhound Rock/Camp Maureen.
  6. Seriously, I really do only treat with kibble, because when I leave the house she gets a kong filled with yogurt, peanut butter and cheese. I don't want to give her too many extra calories. We don't walk all that much, probably less than thirty-forty minutes a day because she does have a large yard, and lets face it, a culdesac neighborhood is not all that interesting. I can't agree with you on spiders, because as long as they are outside, I like them. I will however take your other suggestions under advisement.
  7. Since Harper will eat anything, I just give her bugs, pieces of leather, plastic, mulch etc That way I don't have to worry much about country of origin, or grain content. She's very happy with her treats. If I am in an especially good mood, I will give a piece or two of her regular kibble.
  8. Raw hamburger or raw turkey has been the only thing to work more than a few days with Atty.
  9. I am so terribly sad for your loss, but so happy you were there for her and for the life you gave her.
  10. Boo is beautiful! A very lucky boy going to a home that loves him so much. Those sand pit pics are hysterical!
  11. Well, we all know how horrible you are, so I will skip that part. She is lovely, and I'm betting in two weeks she will look, feel and act like a different dog.
  12. Welcome from Stafford, VA, although I grew up in south KC. Lovely pups, and the wall roach is so cute. I see that all of the time with one of my girlies.
  13. Welcome from Virginia! Your hounds are lovely.
  14. Oh Wendy! I am so sorry! I had hoped to hear better news today about Rocky.
  15. Dee check this place out. Caroline Animal Hospital, (sorry can't link) They might be eaiser than Staffordm, since it is not far off 301 near Bolwing Green VA. Most VAGA dogs go there. My neighbor thinks Dr Grissom saved her dog's ( with back problems) life.
  16. How is he with people you know when he is on lead? Could you enlist some friends to approach with treats in hand? Either your hand or their's? So that he associates being on lead and people with really good outcomes?
  17. Squeezy cheese in a can makes an easy first layer for a kong.
  18. above the reply box when you're replying to a post. Where you see the font options and such, I see a smiley face and when I click on it, it gives me the emoties I have no fonts, emoties etc above "this" box. :-( First you have to click on the box. If you have already done this I apologize. It's just that it took me a moment to figure it out.
  19. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your amazing Charlie.
  20. I split my houndies evening meal in two.
  21. I adore love stories. This is one of the better ones. I am so sorry Wiki left so soon.
  22. I haven't used Frontline or any like product for years. However I decided since we are going to GIG to bite the bullet. I received a letter from my vet with a $25.00 refund coupon for Frontline. Maybe check with your vet to see if this is a national promotion?
  23. Not eggzactly to do with the subject at hand, but April 28 is DEA's National Drug take back day. Taking expired drugs to a drop off center keeps drugs out of the environment and out of the hands of people who might be tempted.
