    Oh Jen, I am just so sorry. I hate to type this, but making the decision a bit too soon, is much better than making it a bit too late. One is for her, the other is for us-but who can blame us for wanting to keep our hearts intact as long as possible.

    Your dogs are adorable! Welcome! We will be delighted to join you on your journey of greyhound adoption--I think GT could win any cheerleading competition. I once owned a terrier mix called scruffy too. Sometimes there just isn't an alternative.

    My girls get suspicious early on. So whatever I have chosen to hide the pill in I first offer to the one, then the other. After about the third bite, they are in a race to make sure they don't lose out, so the 'winner' finally gets her meds. Thank goodness i don't have this problem often, I'm afraid I might lose a finger in their "race".

    Mine used to. I'd forget, turn around and my hand swinging would sometimes 'smack' one in the nose. Now they rarely stir unless they think I'm going out to the deck. I kinda miss it.
