Thank you, thank you for giving Digby nine months of love and security. Right there, that should be enough for a ticket to the bridge when the time comes. I am so sorry for your loss. Three days, nine months, 12 years; it just is never enough time.

I too am unable to adopt a brindle, and my heart breaks a little everytime I see one. But more and more I am smiling when I see brindles in all their amazing glory. Your story of Chili was lovely. And managed to bring a smile. "Waiting for the other dogs to catch up" Sharing the pain of losing Chili, also means sharing the joy of owning her. One of the nicest things about Greytalk, I feel like a part-owner of hundreds of greyhounds.

I am so sorry for your heartbreak. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Sweetboy, you are known now and in our hearts.

Laughing thru my tears. What wonderful stories. When you decide to adopt again, and I hope you will, there are a number of people on GT who make fabulous winter wear for puppers. You'll notice there are many Canadian members along with many in the Northeast. I joined GT just after losing my girlie. Being here helped tremendously with dealing with the my loss. I could cry when others lost their puppers, I could laugh hysterically with stories and pictures of the antics of numerous dogs, but just the general goodnature of this place makes it home.

Bless you for giving him a loving home so that he could crosse the bridge knowing he was loved and honored.

Chelsea taught me that no matter how hot it is outside, its always a one dog night inside the house. I miss her cuddling next to me.

I lasted about two months before adopting Scout, then Atty, after losing my Chelsea girl to cancer. After crossing the bridge, Chelsea showed me a side of her I had never seen. Jealous. I'm pretty sure she sent me two dogs as unlike her as possible. So, I know I will always have this void in my heart for Chelsea, but its still nice to know the heart has unlimited capacity for love.
