  1. We do the best we can. Most of the time, the outcome is not up to us and that is hard to accept. Don't think of losing him. Picture him finally out of pain and suffering and running in the meadows in Rainbow Land! I know you are sad, but he is happy and free to enjoy his existance! You will see him again. This brings to mind all of a sudden about my experience with Willie. You know I've sent many off. I try my best to remain strong and to comfort them as they go off so they are not scared. For some reason, with Willie I sobbed in his fur. When I talked with Latifa, he wanted me not to be so sad because he was fine and he wanted to move on and be happy. I put my hurt aside....wasn't easy but I did it. More hugs my friend
  2. Sending many prayers. I am very sad to hear this. This is the second grey in two days that has had problems from the same surgery
  3. I've had many knuckle over. It can be corrected with acupuncture and chiropractic.
  4. She indicated to me that her MIL was taking her. I would rather she surrender the dog
  5. Some states allow titres. Texas is not one of them Is the last rabies she got 3 yr? Lots of times I "forget" to give them their rabies....I figure if we get caught the worse that can happen is that they will have to get it. One of my alternative vets recommends giving trameel a few days before and a few days after which I now do. Ringo is due and I'm antsy about giving him the rabies because several galgos have had problems. I will definetely give him trameel. Also, I never give vaccinations all at once and never when they are going under anesthetic.
  6. Yes and all of my guys get acupuncture and/or chiropractic.
  7. I would encourage them not to withdraw meds too soon. So touchy because he has had surgery and it's hard to know if there still is a problem, or if recovering from surgery is the problem. Sending prayers for the little one.
  8. What are they feeding? Get him off of NSAIDs or pred and increase the stomach meds. I would not be feeding him kibble at this point unless it's soaked.
  9. Sending my sympathy -- it is SO hard
  10. I pay $61.50 just to have my vet do an examine. No way I should have to pay a prescription fee. I spend enough in other charges to pay for several people's time
  11. I'm sad to hear Sending my sympathy and hugs
  12. When he came to me I was told he was 2 or 3. I think he was more like 12-18 months considering how much he has grown. His teeth were not that bad but they needed done. Hopefully he won't need another for years
  13. A senior diet should fit both parameters you are looking for. I have used Hill's i/d for short term issues (as you all know I hate Hill's foods--will not touch the others)
  14. Sending good thoughts. Which antibiotic is he giving you? A week is usually not enough -- at least 10 days worth.
  15. Please think good thoughts & send prayers. Poor guy was not happy.
  16. I buy what I use at Whole Foods. Give it to anyone who is on antibiotics and anyone having a stomach or little loose stool problem.
  17. My $8 diagnostic test: buy some BilJac frozen and use that only and see if the diarrehea resolves. If it does not, there is a problem you have to find. Also, with everything she has had, give her 3-4 acidolphillus pills a day
  18. I wish you were close Chris so I could give you a hug. Sequoia is one in a million. I am sure you will miss her forever Sending my sympathy -- I wish that could "fix" the hurt.
  19. I've contacted two people. Please p.m. me your phone number.
  20. Thank you for sharing and updating. Sending my sympathy for your loss. He really ended up with the right family!
