I have just been catching up on all this, what a roller coaster you have been on! I am sorry the proceedures have not worked so far, but it sounds like Dye is getting the best possible care.

Just catching up on the Stanley saga! Glad to hear he is responding to the Tramadol. Sugar switched to that for her arthritis/bad back end after years on Metacam, and it seems to be working well for her. I like that I can give her and extra dose if she's having a bad day.

Poor Polli! I know how you are feeling, but you can't let their teeth go, it could be much worse if a bad tooth got infected.

When Sugar's arthritis was mild, we used Metacam as needed. When it got really bad this fall, I ended up switching to Tramadol (1-2 50mg every 8 hrs when it flares up, 1 2x day maintenance). That and acupuncture have really helped. She gets a Pepcid 2x day as well because of all her meds. She gets blood work every 6 months for her heart condition anyway. I found Cosamin first, later Dasuquin (made by same company) the glucosamine/chondroitin/msm supplement that worked they best for her. Try Joint Health first though, it's cheaper
