  1. Not good that she's hurting, but soooo good that it's not OS
  2. Glad he is ok! Fletcher is such a klutz that I just check him over when I see the blood to see what he's torn up this time and the last couple of times, it hasn't even been him! I do remember the panic the first few times If it isn't spurting, and you can't obviously see where the blood is coming from, you have time to clean him up a little and see what you've got. With a puncture wound, a trip to the vet isn't a bad idea, though.

    Wilbur ....

Thanks for letting us know, even though it wasn't what we wanted to hear
  4. :confetti Congratulations! He is gorgeous! I think once he relaxes he will be a lot of fun
  5. I've used Metacam for two of my dogs, it's liquid and I'm pretty sure it's a Nsaid. Supposed to taste good (to the dogs) but I just mix it with pumpkin.
  6. I am glad to hear she is doing better! My Sugar went "down in her back" at about 11 1/2, and accupuncture really helped her. I ended up switching to Tramadol (from Metacam) for as-needed pain relief because it can be used with Prednisone, and when she had a couple of "flare ups", the pred really helped short term. After she had been on accupuncture for a couple of months, she never had another crisis
  7. Yes, they don't want him to puke. They said he shouldn't be thirsty because he was on fluids the whole time, so he's well hydrated, but I know that well hydrated doesn't mean he won't be thirsty. He's settled down now that we are home, so that should help.
  8. Her "rhythms" are probably off, but i found mine had softer poop when we tried the TOTW venison/buffalo. I thought it was probably due to the higher protein levels. We went back to TOTW salmon.
  9. Fletcher's home, and he's fine. Only lost the one tooth that was abcessed, the rest look good. She also xrayed his shoulders while he was under, he has some pretty nasty arthritis, we'll jus have to keep an eye on it. They did say, because of his size, not to let him eat or drink tonight. I was only going to offer him a little food anyway, but I've never heard about the no drinking. He, of course, immediately ran over to the water bowl when we got home The thing is, he's pretty high strung, and this all has him panting a lot, which makes him thirsty. I'm thinking about just pouring a couple of inches in the bowl and letting him have that, every few hours. They said he could have ice chips, would this be about the same? Anyway, he's home, and I thank everyone that helped me worry today
  10. It's such a shock when it happens so quickly
  11. congratulations Boys!! and kudos to your daughter's BF for being willing to sit with a blanket over his head for the dogs
  12. I am glad to hear Poodle is feeling better!
  13. I am glad it was nothing worse. As a lady of certain age (like Elsie ) I know acupuncture helps those aches and pains a lot!
  14. Glad its all over and done with! She'll feel much better with out those nasty teeth.
  15. He's very handsome! I am so glad he is feeling better. FWIW, I have been having problems posting pictures from Flickr lately, although other people here seem to do fine.
  16. Glad to hear Princess and Jaycee are home! I know Fletcher's going to lose one tooth, it's infected. I hope he doesn't lose any more . He's lost some weight, he was down to 86 lbs. I don't see any problem doing a routine cleaning along with hoo-hoo surgery . If there are problems, it may be another story.
