  1. Fletcher had it a few years ago, a round of panacur cleared it up. I don't remember for sure, but I think it took at least two tests fo it to show up. Nasty stuff >( One thing that has really helped Fletcher's tummy gurgles is about a tsp of Manuka honey

I am so sorry a better way to go for him, but a terrible shock for you
  3. Fletcher was on Metacam for years, and did fine. When I thought it was starting to be less effective, we switched to Rimadyl, which has also been fine. Prevacox was awful for him. Gave him runny poop, gurgly tummy, and made him very restless. He does have IBD, so runny poop/gurgly tummy are pretty normal for thing that don't agree.
  4. I am so sorry she WAS loved, and clearly, she knew it
  5. I have never syringe fed a dog, only a rabbit (yeah, that was fun!) but kibble mixed with water or chicken broth until mushy is good, or plain baby food. A/D seems to work for a lot of people, although I have never used it. For non-syringe feeding, baby food straight, or thinned with goat's milk (goat's milk is much easier to digest than cow), scrambled eggs. I might try some Ensure, just to see if she'll take it.
  6. I am so sorry that is a beautiful picture of him
  7. it is so hard to see them suffer and not be able to fix it right away
  8. I've never used one of those pill guns, but I have heard from others that they work when all the "hiding" fails.
  9. I wish you had been able to have more time with her
  10. I am sorry to hear this I also would recommend you try acupuncture.

I am so sorry I hate that quiet, empty feeling in the house
  12. That works to and is even better because the container never gets dirty. Out of curiosity what make and model of storage container do you have that can fit the entire bag and still close the cover? I really want to do that as well but can't find one that fits the Kirkland bags. I bought mine at Petsmart, not sure if this is the same one, but it looks like it: Dog food container The wheels make it so easy to move, especially with a full bag inside. I do the same thing, and have the same container! I didn't realize until this recall that Diamond made TOTW
