    Well, I'd feel better if she had caught it I don't know, they were all out in the yard wandering around while I picked up poop. I turned around to see her chewing something, and one wing sticking out of the side of her mouth

    Poor baby, the anesthesia really is hard on them Hopefully, once it's been about 24 hrs and most of it is out of her system, she will start to feel better.

    I'm not so concerned about the fact that she ate a bird (RIP poor birdie), but I'm pretty sure she didn't catch it and kill it, but found it dead on the ground and ate it. Since I don't know why it was dead, that's what worries me. What should I watch out for? (Fletcher's already managed to gimp up his foot It's going to be a M*A*S*H morning here!)

    Unnecessary as some one said, a healthy dog shouldn't need to be fed any differently as they age. Now, if they have health issues that are age related, they may need a special diet for that. The glucosamine in "senior" foods isn't enough to make any difference (per my vet).

    meds , especially pills (as opposed to liquids) do have a longer life than their expiration date, I just don't know how you would tell how long they are good for I don't usually keep them for more than a year after the exp. date.

    Leia may very well react differently to an indoor kitty, and she is apparently getting used to Kitty My cats have a safe room. I mounted a babygate about 8"-10" above the floor so the cats can run in and out as they please, but the dogs can't get into the room. Also helps to keep the cat food and litter box away from the dogs Good Luck! Oh, and we'll need

    I hope she feels better soon. I see you are due to have some pretty nasty weather today, vet is probably the best place for her right now
