  10. Charely does this sometimes. It doesn't seem to bother her, in fact I don't think she notices! My vet has checked her over and not found anything, so we are just watching for now. She is 10.5, I am guessing that's the main cause.

  12. Sorry about the screw up with the meds, but the important thing is he is through the surgery and recovering!
  13. All of mine became more heat sensitive as they aged, Fletcher in particular got a little worse each year. I really started noticing signs of aging, like heat sensitivity, tiring easily, once they reached 10. Nothing major, just, all of a sudden (it seemed) they weren't pups anymore, they were old. So far, I've had them make it to 11, 11.5, 12.5

I think the first day or two, you are still a bit numb, and there is the relief that don't have to worry about them anymore. After that, the numbness wears off and the pain and loss hit. They are not only a huge part of your life, but a constant presence, and that makes the loss so much worse I am glad you are getting help to cope.
  17. hoping the surgery and recovery are non-eventful!
  18. I have never had to deal with osteo (yet) but I lost two last year to intestinal cancer Fletcher and Molly
  19. it must be so hard not to know
