  1. Yay Taylor!!! I hope you have many more years with him!
  2. Oh my gosh! That look on his face like "what's wrong, I got this for you!" Maybe a harness and a leash that has an adjustable strap so that you can keep better hold of it? Then I guess you're risking getting pulled with him!
  3. I feel for you. Jake is normally chill, but last night's storm had even him shaking. I slept through it all while DH tried to calm him
  4. Such beautiful babies! (see previous post on calling dogs "babies")
  5. Welcome!!! Your English is much better than my German I can't wait to see photos of your guys. I think it's interesting to see if there are differences in the US and Irish breeding stock.
  6. Thanks for the reminder! A dog from the Tucson track died after getting heatstroke on the track last week
  7. Oh my! They are both so adorable! I would love to be in on a play date with some grey puppies!
  8. Those eyes were stunning. Happy Birthday at the bridge pretty girl!
  9. A loud greyhound? He is broken! Although I suppose Jake's whining could be described as loud at times...
  10. Aww! They're all so beautiful! I can't decide which one is the prettiest
  11. Hi! Welcome! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you already broke the rules! We need photos! (just kidding you're not in trouble). Congrats on your new addition! We need to see Fudge as well as Casper and Bella!
  12. Interesting! I'd love to see photos of her highness's fuzzy butt!
  13. I hope your babies heal quickly! And hopefully the neighbor doesn't blame you or your dogs- keep your cat inside!
  14. I'm thinking there was some confusion about letting the pups play with the great danes vs breeding with a dane. I have never met a greyhound puppy up close, but she looks like one from what I've seen. Congrats- she is so beautiful!!!
  15. I don't have any additional advice, but I can't help but laugh at the mental picture of your dog with 4 feet on the counter!
  16. I never knew her, but I hope and believe that she is already united with a whole troop of greyhounds on the other side
  17. Maybe you could let your landlord meet him and do a personal evaluation. If Harry's like most greyhounds, the landlord will fall in love and let him do whatever he wants
  18. Feisty49 I think we were typing at the same time
  19. Can I ask why you don't want him in your room all night? I'm guessing he is lonely without you sleeping in the same room, and he's finally realizing he can get you to pay attention to him if he wakes you up. I would recommend having him sleep in your room if you can.
  20. Love the name! And your description- low tolerance for bs I have one of those. He would never attack unprovoked, but if another dog jumped on him or is being crazy, he will snap (unfortunately we've learned this the hard way). We still go to events , but we're just careful and no dog parks unless empty. Wishing you years of happiness with you beautiful diva! My high maintenance guy is currently roaching with his butt on my arm (typing one-handed). Bliss
  21. I'm not sure if this is the norm or not, but we generally don't walk in the morning (this will change when the weather gets hotter), but if we tire Jake out enough the night before he will barely get up for his breakfast and promptly go back to sleep the next morning.
  22. No cancer is good news!!! As lazy as these dogs are, it is a pain to keep them on a rest regimen when they get it in their head to be crazy. Good luck!
  23. Fingers crossed that it is just something minor. I've read some articles recently that show how our brains release oxytocin when we pet our dogs, which is the same hormone as when mothers interact with their babies. That is how they steal your heart so quickly
  24. There is a lot of info here on alone training if you use the search bar. Also this site http://www.recycledracers.org/FAQ/greyhound-care-manual.html#Alone
