  1. Oh, wow, that's a lot to deal with after just three weeks together! Best wishes for a smooth surgery and full recovery. Please keep us posted. Harley is so lucky to have you!
  2. No experience, but have you checked out Grassmere's page on it? Sorry you're facing more houndie toe woes!
  3. Welcome and congrats from Nashville! Ray is gorgeous!
  4. I'm sorry you had to go through that worry (been there, done that!) but glad you can breathe a sigh of relief now.
  5. Wow, that is scary looking. So glad Allen is improving, and I hope he is back to 100% soon. Thanks for sharing this!
  6. Wonderful update...keeping all fingers and toes crossed here!

  8. Noooo. Jan, I'm so sorry and shocked to see Paddy's name here. We all loved that boy. Sending hugs across the miles to you and all the campers.
  9. If you have copies of the x-rays you could send them to Dr. Couto: http://www.coutovetconsultants.com/. He is known for responding very quickly.
  10. I love how all the other hounds are asleep and she is just riveted by the TV.
  11. That is so young for osteo; I really hope it's something else. Has he been tested for tick-borne diseases? I think some of them can present similarly. I am sure others with more experience will weigh in, but I'm glad you're getting referred to a specialist. Sending hugs and best thoughts to you and your boy.
  12. Cassie update: she got her first heartworm shot yesterday. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, as she's now entering the most critical period. Here she is watching Animal Planet Nat Geo Wild.
  13. Sweep has an old toe injury and does well on Previcox but did not do well on Meloxicam (GI upset within a couple of days). Rimadyl did not seem as effective for her specific issue. All are anti-inflammatories. So it can be a process to find the best fit, and what works for one dog may not for another dog. Unfortunately you can't know until you try, but if you find one that works it can improve their quality of life so much. Sweep is only 7 and I resisted NSAIDs for so long, but no amount of supplements or alternative therapies alleviated her limp; only the meds do the trick. Best of luck to you and Snow.
  14. Welcome from Nashville! Congrats on your adoption--Rogue is a very handsome boy!
  15. I'm so sorry for the loss of your handsome boy. Rest well, Patch.
  16. We use Bravecto (oral flea and tick protection given every 12 weeks) and have had no ill effects. Our biggest issue is that Sweep hates the taste so it can be challenging to give.
  17. Beautiful boy. I'm so sorry for your loss. Rest well, Wiki.
  18. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest well, Greta.
  19. I have not seen any mention of a communicator on the Music City Greyhound Adoption Facebook page or their Yahoo group. If you have a specific recommendation, please feel free to post it on their Facebook page. It's a public page and linked above in my update, and they're very responsive.
  20. Anaya (lovely name) sounds like Miss Personality! I've only had one grey myself so don't have a ton of experience to offer, but I wonder if #3 is reverse sneezing. Sweep does it occasionally too and I've never worried too much about it. Sometimes vigorously rubbing her throat makes it pass more quickly.
