    Nike Is Gone

I am so sorry you have lost your precious boy so suddenly, such a shock. My condolences... :f_red
  2. I remember when you were thinking/talking about adding Tally to your family; all the encouragement and support given by your friends here on GT - the same friends posting here now. I am so sorry that the adventure with Tally has had so to soon. She was such a sweet, funny little girl. I wish we could have read many, many more adventures of her life with all of you. She was such a sweetie, and she will be missed... :f_pink
  3. Oh no! positive, pain-free thoughts being sent to the Murphy-moo - maybe he just needs something like Tramadol added to the mix...
  4. <whew> looks like several steps in the right direction! Hope the healding continues, and the new lumps are just more bits of infection being fought...Hugs to that handsome boy!
  5. Checking in for what was hopefully a restful and uneventful night for Roscoe and you... :candle
  6. Oh my gosh - I just read through this thread! Lisa, I am so sorry you and Roscoe are having these struggles. I really hope you are getting some answers and that Rose is strating to feel better! White light being sent...

    Sobe

I am so sorry that Sobe had to leave you too soon. :f_red
  9. My Max did this last summer. We couldn't get it stopped bleeding (because I didn't have any stypic powder), which is all they used to stop it and then loosely wrapped it with gauze bandaid and put vet wrap around it. Left it like that for a couple of days, and then undressed it and it was fine! It has grown back now, looks the same as his other nails - no other issues...
  10. Max is Tomax Smart Play, out of Flying Bookie and Char Begone, born April 24, 1998 And yes, his head has gone all white from age! The first pic is shortly after we got him in 2002; the second pic was form late last year. It's funny, his head has gone all white, but he is getting more red spots in his white areas! One more shot of his all-white head, just because!
  11. Hello from Waterloo Ontario - from one Maxwell to another! My Max used to have a diamond shaped kissie spot on the top of his head, just like your does! but sadly over the years, I've kissed all away! Look forward to seeing more pics of your very handsome Max!
  12. I am so sorry Wilbur had to leave you too, too soon. He was beloved and lived his life knowing that and always feeling that.

    Wilbur ....

I am so sorry - you all fought so hard. Run fast and free, sweet Wilbur
  14. Oh gosh - I am so sorry. If only they could stay forever...
  15. What is it with dogs love, love, loving chocolate?? Max will snarf back anything chocolate over anything else - if there is a plate of chocolate out and a plate meatballs or other meat sort of snack, he'll head right for the chocolate! Fortunately, I've never had to make him throw up - he's never gotten more than a taste - but I would for sure, especially if it was dark chocolate at all
  16. Can't believe it's been a year. It seems all of the losses all happened just yesterday - I am so sorry for your hurt. How wonderful that he made sure you were taken care of before he had to leave...
  17. Holy man, Robin - I am just seeing this! <whew>!! So glad she is home now and resting! Poor sweet girlie - feeling all icky, she'll be glad to get rid of whatever nasties were in her tummy. Give her a kiss from me!
  18. She was a good friend to the greyhounds. Max still wears one of her collars... I remember her email when she knew she couldn't take care of her beloved greys any longer, so heartbreaking. Rest in peace Maria - I know you have had mnay wonderful greys greet you.
  19. We've had Max for almost 8 years. He is a pretty calm dog, easy going, not anxious. And his nose has dripped continuously for those 8 years. We call him Sir Snotsalot . There is no ebb or flow in the drip; it is steady, consistent. Our hardwood floors our polka dotted in Max drippies. There is nothing wrong - vet checks regularly, but he just has nothing else wrong with him. He's just a big drip! Your boy's faucet may slow down as he settles in - or he may always be a drip, just like Max!
  20. I am so sorry and shocked to read this.Life can be so unfair - how heartbreaking for all of you; but I am so glad you were able to make the journey to be with him, so you could all be together for his final journey. He always knew your love
  21. Oh Suzanne - I am just so, so sorry to hear of Piper's passing. Your story of how she chose *you* made my heart smile; so clearly you and she were meant to be! Your sweet stripey girl brought smiles to many of us on GT, what a delight she must have been in your life. I know the two of you must have fought so hard together; I'm so sorry she had to leave so soon. I wish a peaceful healing for you and your girls :f_pink
  22. That picture is the epitome of pure joy! I am so sorry he had to leave; clearly a life was lived of happiness and love - he radiates it. :f_red Run free, handsome
  23. Fingers crossed that this is the answer, Janet!
  24. It is comforting to have them back where they belong, isn't it? I am so sorry that Hobbes had to leave you too soon...
  25. Oh yes, now that winter is here, Max has gone into official hibernation mode! We have been home most of the past two weeks, with the Christmas break. We go for a walk in the morning, he sleeps until lunch and goes out for potty; it might involve a bit of play if not to cold - just a few snow zoomies then back in. Snooze time for the afternoon, potty around 5, dinner then a bit of play with stuffies and general romping, back for a nap until 8:30, another potty - this one is pretty much always accompanied with some play time in the yard - and then more napping until last potty around 11. He'll be 12 in April, and I guess he is actually still pretty active... In the spring and fall, he is a lot more active, summer heat pretty much results in the same activity level as winter!
