  1. I think (but don't quote me on this) that they are the same company that also trades as Petsuppyexpress.com and Discount Pet Supply along with a few other pet related domains. I have had excellent service from Pet Supply Express over the years when we purchased hookworm meds for several dogs. It took us almost a year each to treat the hooks in several dogs that came straight from the farm, so the savings were welcome. The only hiccup I ever had was when they changed payment processors and started using a processor in Malysia or some other far off country. My credit card kept declining the sale because they thought it was fraud based on the processor being used. We finally gave up and used a different credit card. They sent me a discount code for the trouble. When COVID started there were numerous issues getting packages from the UK to the US, and they were kind enough to warn me that shipping would be delayed due to problems in the UK Post. The order did take several weeks to arrive but no fault of theirs. Also - it's really good to see you here Bill! Haven't seen you on here in a while.
  2. I hope there are many more good days. We all love your boys!
  3. Great pictures! Saoirse is living the life!
  4. When we lived in a cold climate, we had one pair of heavier PJ's for Rocket that only had front legs with the remaining garment going over him like the fleece housecoats. He liked those when it was really cold. For most average winter temperatures, the flannel housecoats like Houndtime makes were the perfect weight to keep the chill off without overheating the dog. We are big fans of those housecoats here. We have quite the collection of housecoats for the various dogs that have been here. Most liked them in cooler weather. Except for Petunia. Petunia was not going to wear a coat, no way, no how ,not ever. She didn't growl but expressed her displeasure by doing everything in her power to get away or get the coat off if we managed to get one on her. Not all greyhounds like or need coats. We also have quite the collection of those flannel blankets that are dog-sized. Some of the dogs like being covered while others wanted nothing to do with it. We keep a few in the bedroom year round since our AC can blast fairly cold. If a dog gets restless during the night, a blanket is often all that it takes to get them back to sleep.
  5. Keep eating, Jeter. So glad to hear that you have an appetite.
  6. Even though I haven't met Violet, she has been here for so long that I feel like she's one of my own pups. I am so sorry that you have to deal with this again. Spoil her rotten for all of us.
  7. Been there too. You don't know until you try though. "Magical Dinner Dust" from Stella and Chewy has been a big hit with some of our seniors who didn't want to eat. Just sprinle it on their regular food. I try to mix it in pretty well so that everything is covered with it. https://www.amazon.com/Stella-Chewys-Freeze-Dried-Magical-Cage-Free/dp/B07SM1QT2J I also haven't had a dog turn down full fat (4%) cottage cheese stirred through their meal. Both are worth a try if you haven't already tried them.
  8. I think Annie is reminding you to put your shoes away and not leave them laying around. Annie and Punkin on a Halloween walk.
  9. We've used a bacon flavored CBD oil from Simple Pure. They are a local company here in AZ and we found them through a friend who did a lot of research before settling on a product line to carry in her store. The owner is also local and seems to take quality control seriously. We've used it for several of our recent seniors both for pain and anxiety in storms. It worked well, but as with all CBD products it's hard to put documentation to that. You wither see an improvement or you don't, and we felt like it helped. There a likely some cheaper products out there, but for our use this one wasn't unaffordable. We usually used the lowest strength since we were treating aches and pains, and not chronic pain. There are 3 strengths in their pet line. https://www.simplepurecbd.com/product/pet-drops-bacon-flavored-/5?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=15
  10. We'll wring our hands here too. Maybe it will move things along.. Hang in there, Jeter. We had Dr Cuoto do a consult for some Ortho issues for Rocket. At the time he was on the other side of the world and the response was incredibly fast and thorough. We've been lucky enough to meet him briefly at 2 different events where he spoke. We are huge fans of Dr. Cuoto here.
  11. YES YOU ARE! Gorgeous Sweep! Red is your color today! Keep on kicking it!
  12. I don't remember ever seeing this term mentioned in over 10 years here. Definitely not something that's common in greyhounds. There are a few people here with extensive vet-med knowledge, so hopefully one of them will be familiar with it and can provide some insight or give you some other things to check for. Hope you can find some relief for your hound soon.
  13. That's a drastic food cut all at once. I never add or cut back more than 1/4 cup at a time, usually making adjustments every two weeks. My immediate guess is that he thinks he's hungry because he isn't as full as usual. I'd probably try a more gradual cut back over time and see if the issues resolve.
  14. Punkin! We don't see nearly enough of you on here. Talk to your Mom about that! Annie says she doesn't need a stinkin' holiday. Everyday is Mayhem Day!
  15. Paws, fingers and toes all crossed here for Jeter. Keep eating, buddy. Milo - well, he's just being Milo...
  16. When we lived in Central IL, we used St. Joseph Animal Hospital, which is about 10 miles east of Champaign-Urbana off of I-74. Dr. Birk and Dr. Duncan are excellent vets, and we never had a bad experience there. Numerous other greyhound owners in the area also use them. Dr. Birk has owned greyhounds in the past and is familiar with the special things that need to be done. Rocket had a dental there when he started getting tartar buildup. He came through it fine, and ended up only needing a cleaning, no extractions and no other special things. Their prices were always fair and I never felt like they did anything that was unnecessary. While they are not a dental specialty center, I wouln't hesitate to use them again if were back in the area.
  17. Sweep, You can give me stink-eye any time, pretty girl! Awesome news!
  18. I love that story. I can just picture Desi deciding that he needed a muffin.
  19. If the dog is hurting or not feeling well, this could be a reaction to that. The owner should probably have a vet check if there's no other incident or occurrence they know of that precipitated this. A growl is a warning so you definitely read that right. The dog is not comfortable with some aspect of the situation, or has some pain or something medical going on. Doesn't sound like it's anyhting you are doing.
  20. I'm so sorry, Mary Pat. I'm glad that you got to enjoy a little extra time with her and that your vet was thoughtful enough to give those additional treatments a try. Run-free, Emma.
  21. Here's hoping that Jeter gets some promising results on Wednesday. Sending good vibes!
  22. I will let Desi's Mom post it. The exact details were long ago and its better if she tells it. It was one of those stories that made you say "That's just so DesiRay."
  23. Well, I could have sworn that I responded to this post from Dewey, but I don't see it. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! This is like the most awesome post ever. I know that Desi is jumping up and down at the bridge with excitement for you . I don't think I could have resisted that face either. Be sure to show him where the muffin stand is down at the Farmer's Market. (My favorite Desi story ever )
  24. Watching for an Emma update and sending our thoughts to you and Emma, Mary Pat. Sorry we didn't get to see you at Dewey this time, but you were definitely right where you needed to be with your sweet girl.
