  1. Keeping you and Nadir in my thoughts and prayers.
  2. As long as the meds don't interfere with her CRF/BP meds, I have no issue at all with keeping her on the Panacur for a longer time. The good thing about living in NYC is that [a] I already have to pick up the poop, and i don't have to worry about cleaning the park. Of course, she is in there every day with every other dog in the area so that is its own issue. I can wash her bedding and her covers on the couch. I can't wash the mattress or the wool rug. For those, I just have to hope for the best. I had to laugh since I left the vet 3 different samples yesterday and he only took 1. I hope my doormen didn't look inside the insulated/ice packed lunch bag I left for him.
  3. Thanks! She attacked her food last night so the Panacure didn't bother her. Then again, I did give her a can of Wellness Turkey, Chicken and the livers of both. Yuck! She has no symptoms (except for very few teeny squirmy white wormies) so hopefully this will be an easy fix.
  4. Sending many prayers for you and for Nadir.
  5. I am so glad I found this topic. We found yesterday that Aquitaine has tiny white worms that my vet thinks are whipworms. Teeny tiny little white things. I actually spent last night watching a fecal sample to see if I saw them. Nope. My walker saw them yesterday afternoon and let me know. I saw them this morning. She started panacure tonight. I hope we can clear them up quickly. What I have read here has me scared. I hope these are not impossible to get rid of.
  6. I am so very sorry for your loss, but so very happy that you and Possum had very special time together. Godspeed, Possum.
  7. My heart hurts for you. You truly did everything you knew to think of for your girl. Your vets saw nothing to note. I promise I don't say this glibly. I left home the morning of December 20, 2006 with a giant, moose of a happy, apparently healthy, silly girl. A girl who got off the elevator on the wrong floor and made me play chase with her. By 3:00 pm I had a (normally unflappable) semi-hysterical friend and dog walker call me to tell me to get home right now that something was wrong with Morgaine and she needed to call my vet. His number is on a sticker on my front door in case of fire. I ran out of the office with my wallet and threw myself in traffic to get a cab home. I talked to my vet who couldn't get to us in time but diganosed a status seizure. I got her to a local vet for emergency treatment and still lost her that night. We have no way of knowing how long she had been seizing before Kelly got there. She had been seen by the vet within the month. Sometimes these terrible things just happen and we are knocked flat. They offered me a necropsy as well but I saw no reason to do that to her. Try to remember that you gave Jonelle all the love you had, that you gave her every care and joy. That she never knew any unhappiness with you. Jonelle, run fast and free.
  8. I have a huge lump in my throat. I am so very sorry that Katie had to leave you so soon. Katie, with the wind.
  9. I am so very sorry. Run fast and free, Wink.
  10. Happened to me with my last girl and it scared the **** out of me! It was a Sunday but I called my lovely homecare vet, and he answered my call from the ski slope. He told me it should/would go down naturally within 2 hours, if not, take her to the ER. It went down within 10 minutes but was really disconcerting.
  11. I am so very sorry. Run free, Kelly.
  12. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Kinglsey.
  13. I am so very sorry to hear this. Run fast and free, Bebe.
  14. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Chase.
